We had a fantastic time at Manuel Antonio National Park with our guide, Dylan! He was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us spot a variety of wildlife, including capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, sloths, lots of birds, insects, iguanas and other reptiles.
Dylan also took us away from the crowds, which made our experience much more enjoyable. If you’re visiting, I highly recommend going with Dylan. If we could fit it in our holiday plans, we would’ve done the Corcovado trip with him but unfortunately that’s for a next visit to CR.
Dylan even managed to arrange a whale watching tour for us in Uvita. It’s extremely convenient to have such a goor tour guide.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Planet Dolphin and the catamaran cruise!! I can’t say enough good things about the staff. For starters, I booked the wrong location and they were very responsive and helpful in getting us switched to the correct spot just hours before. The crew on the boat was so friendly and fun and the service was amazing. We had our three young children with us (4,6,8) and they had such a blast swimming and jumping off the boat. The lunch was absolutely delicious and the crew went out of their way to help us spot whales and sea turtles. A great value for the price and an amazing experience for our whole family.★

We had a great guide that showed us so may different animals we would not have seen on our own. The group was relatively small (7), and we were able to ask questions and hear. This was well worth the small fee.★

Overall, a good, albeit somewhat expensive, tour with no guarantee of animal sightings. We were apparently lucky, according to our guide, to see several animals. Ultimately, our expectations were higher. However, the tour operator can't be blamed for that. I would like to expressly praise our guide, who entertained us with stories and made every effort to show us as much as possible. Without a guide, we probably wouldn't have seen anything. I found the security procedure for booking tickets, requiring a passport and personal information, to be extremely thorough.
