This was by far one of the best tours we’ve ever taken, and we travel often and have experienced many tours. From the moment we were greeted by our wonderful guide, Nathalie, we knew we were in great hands. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of Lyon, its deep connection to French culinary traditions, and how the city earned its reputation as the gastronomic capital of France. The tour offers a complete culinary experience, including an aperitif, a traditional Lyonnaise entrée, and thoughtfully planned stops throughout the city featuring renowned chocolatiers and confiseries. What truly sets this tour apart is that it is not just a food tour, but a rich historical journey as well, making it a comprehensive and immersive way to experience Lyon. This walk is an absolute must for first time visitors to Lyon. In fact we joined one walk on Tuesday & then a different one on Thursday. Paul is from the Netherlands & has lived in Lyon for 12 years. He is passionate about the town & its history & at the end of our 2 hours we felt much more connected to its stories, especially those of the Resistance fighters, about whom we knew nothing. Paul is also very generous with advice about restaurants & things to do. We thought both his tours were great.

The whole activity was really enjoyable; it's always interesting to discover new painting techniques. However, I think there could be a bit more guidance for the participants in creating their canvases. Also, the activity lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes: 45 minutes on canvas and 1 hour on large sheets of paper. I think the reverse would be better. Apart from that, I really enjoyed it!


