Our guide, Jose, was humorous and engaging, introducing Salzburg's history and things to do in Harshtad along the way. The scenery was beautiful, making it impossible to fall asleep. The driver was very steady and safe. We departed at 8:00 AM and returned at 12:00 PM, arriving back in Salzburg around 1:00 PM. We even had time to explore the Old Town in the afternoon.

Totally enjoyable though morning pickup a little disruptive because the bus driver miscalculated the number of turn up. I appreciate our Agent Ewald Schober for his guidance and sharing. :)

The ice cave was beautiful, the way up the mountain with the lifts was great. A very good tip for anyone who buys a ticket here: the QR code ticket you get here does not entitle you to entry. You have to scan it at the ticket machines downstairs at the arrivals area and you will get a paper ticket with a barcode, which you can use to travel. Unfortunately, we really sucked it up, we did not inform ourselves about this properly in advance and we had to look everywhere for the staff to help us get through.
