Booked for 2 people. Our tandem pilots Andrea and Jayden were excellent! Friendly and experienced crew. Really smooth process from check in and getting up to Coronet Peak. We were the first two off the mountain at 9am, the thermal winds were in our favour so we got a bit more lift and a slightly longer flight. Recommend fingerless gloves, even in summer, it was chilly! Pilots checked in on us constantly to make sure we were okay. We were staying in Arthurs Point, only 15 mins from Coronet Peak, and were able to board the shuttle bus from Arthurs Point Road, rather than needing to drive into central Queenstown, after contacting Skytrek beforehand.★

The guide we had at the hobbiton was difficult to understand, as she talked fast & had her mic to close to her mouth. We also found out from our tour/bus driver more information than what we were given from our guide at Hobbiton. However, being in the shire was amazing, it’s a MUST for any LOTR’S fan.
