This is a solid one-day activity to experience the Kazakh outdoors. We went to 5 sites, including a ride on an old Soviet bus and a pony, with a delicious lunch at a local home. If you have more time, stretching it to a two-day trip with an overnight stay in a yurt would probably be better but if you only have a day to spare, do this. We had a pleasant guide, Naz, and driver and they managed a packed day without us feeling too rushed. ★

I had such a fun and memorable experience on this trip. The group was incredibly lively and friendly, making it easy to enjoy the day as a solo traveler. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the history of every location we visited. I highly recommend this activity to anyone looking for a well-organized and informative tour!★

This was a great way to start the day in Almaty, Dimitri are guide, was very knowledgeable about any questions we had, he told stories about history, the science, and even personal tales of Almaty lake. And of course it is super beautiful! Bring good hiking shoes. ★

It’s a long tour, starting at 4.30am and come back to the hotel at around 8pm. But it’s worth doing! We visited 6 points with some moderate amount of walking, they are all fascinating. The traditional lunch is delicious. Alma, our guide, and the driver is doing their job very well, appreciate it!★
