The whole trip was very well organised from pick up to drop off. We had WiFi on the coach. Our guide, Louise, was fabulous. She sang Maori songs to us and taught us a song! She was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend

This excursion was more than just a simple transfer from the cruise port to Hobbiton visitor center. Alan, our driver and guide, was very personable and accommodating. He has great knowledge of the area and shared his expertise with our group throughout the drive to Hobbiton and back. We drove by a few scenic areas near the cruise ship port, saw some fine beaches, and had stops at McLaren Falls and a nearby lake as well as a scenic overlook viewing the beautiful valley where Hobbiton can be found. All in all, it was a very scenic and informative drive into the beautiful North Island of New Zealand. It was nice to leave the driving to Alan!

If you're gonna do this activity, make sure that you understand that it is is steve steep decent to get to cathedral cove. if you are not moderately fit, this may be a challenge for you

A magical experience with glowworms visible as it went dark. We were lucky with weather overcast but sheltered from the strong winds in Maclaren Park. The selection of local food and drink was most interesting and tasty. Our guide Henry provided lots of interesting detail about the flora and fauna. All gear needed was provided and the kayaking was gentle and relaxed. Assistance given where needed. A lovely start to our NZ holiday.


