This excursion was more than just a simple transfer from the cruise port to Hobbiton visitor center. Alan, our driver and guide, was very personable and accommodating. He has great knowledge of the area and shared his expertise with our group throughout the drive to Hobbiton and back. We drove by a few scenic areas near the cruise ship port, saw some fine beaches, and had stops at McLaren Falls and a nearby lake as well as a scenic overlook viewing the beautiful valley where Hobbiton can be found. All in all, it was a very scenic and informative drive into the beautiful North Island of New Zealand. It was nice to leave the driving to Alan!★

It was a great outing, seeing the harbour from a different perspective. Amazing knowledge by the skipper and staff were great with the children. The children also loved the pirate Dressup's. Having the children go free made it an affordable family outing.★

It was a long drive, but it was worth it. Hot Water Beach was great fun, and the views of Cathedral Cove were amazing. The included picnic was delicious, too. Communication with Expedigo was excellent.★

Excellent tour conducted by Alan. Who was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Loved the tour and places we visited. The organic kiwi where we gained a lot of knowledge. The waterfall, rapids and village were super visits .The snacks which were provided were lovely and the home made chocolate brownies were delicious. We didn’t feel rushed at any point. Well done to all.
