Eliza was an excellent guide. She was always cautioning us regarding the importance of watching our steps. We went on our own for lunch. I advise that you avoid The restaurant l'angolino di Mirko as they gave poor service cold food and high prices for the entres.the villa Adriana is amazing as are the fountains at villa d'este .★

Absolutely wonderful. After seeing so many city ruins, it's a welcome break for a day trip to the countryside. The Villa d'Este, in particular, is amazing, with its fountain designed entirely around the natural elevation differences.★
