This was a great trip and our guide Igor made it so much better. He was interesting to listen to and made me feel relaxed about asking questions. He was also spontaneous, stopping the bus to explain why children were running through the streets. He was encouraging and supportive at Gaztelugatxe. This is quite a walk but individuals can decide how much to do. At Bermeo we went with him to a restaurant and we spoke about Basque food. It was great. At Gernika we spent most of our time in the museum. Well worth the visit. This was a very enjoyable day out.

Definitely recommend this trip if you want a whistlestop tour of some of the French Basque country + San Sebastian. Stephane was a great guide - friendly, informative (in both Spanish and English!) and knowledgeable. All places could warrant their own day trip to be honest, but if you're wanting a flavour then this tour is great.

The tour was very comprehensive and interesting. All the towns along the route were exceptionally beautiful and impressive. Our guide, Borja, shared many interesting facts, but without any unnecessary details. It was very pleasant to listen to him and absorb the information. We would have liked to have had more free time in Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz.


