Itinerary
After gathering at the designated location, depart for a visit to Chen Ci Hong, known as the "First Overseas Chinese Residence in Lingnan."
Chen Ci Hong, the largest modern family-style architectural complex in the Chaoshan region, was initially constructed in 1910 during the Xuantong era of the Qing Dynasty. It features a distinctive architectural style that blends Chinese and Western elements, combining the traditional "Four Horses Pulling a Carriage" layout with Western-style mansions, adorned with pavilions and towers. In 2005, it was honored as one of Shantou's Eight Scenic Spots under the title "Elegant Breeze at Chen Ci Hong."
Then proceed to visit Shantou's landmark and popular spot, Xiaogongyuan (Little Park)
Shantou Small Park, centered around landmarks like the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Pavilion and Nansheng Department Store, forms the cultural heart of arcade-style architecture. This vibrant commercial, cultural, and culinary district showcases traditional arcade buildings with distinctive 1930s architectural features, embodying the essence of the city's heritage.
Head to the southern district of Shantou to visit the Chaoshan History and Culture Expo Center
One of the best ways to experience a city is by visiting its museums. The Chaoshan Culture Expo Center serves as a key comprehensive cultural exhibition venue showcasing Chaoshan's history and heritage. Its prized collection features the grand Chinese painting masterpiece "Scenic Views of Chaoshan," displayed as the museum's centerpiece at the Chaoshan Expo Center.
Continue heading to visit Queshi Scenic Spot
Located in the northern part of the scenic area, this is one of the first national AAAA-level tourist attractions in the Chaoshan region. Queshi (literally "Stone Hill") derives its name from its rocks, which form granite caves of various shapes. The most iconic among them is Chuihong Cave, hailed as the "Top Scenic Spot in Chaoshan."
