Reviews: Bavarian Salt Mine Tour and Berchtesgaden
Guest User2026-01-03
Our guide Philip was humorous, friendly, and informative. Since the salt mine opens at around 11 AM, Philip drove us around the Bavarian Alps to enjoy some incredible views before he took us to the mine. The salt mine was also a fun experience. We slid down two slides and had a beautiful boat ride across a “salt lake”. After the salt mine tour, my partner and I had other plans in Berchtesgaden, and Philip was kind enough to drop us off at the location before he took the rest of the group back to Salzburg. We highly recommend this tour and Philip!
Reviews: Salzburg: Sound of Music and Salt Mines Tour

saved a little money as 2 excursions paired together. salt mines visited first. no time given to visit salt mine gift shop. it was all hurry hurry we must get back. could have also had more time in berchtesgaden. then had to wait an hour and a half between trips by changing buses. then got stuck waiting in traffic due to a city parade road closure. we will make the time up said the guide. that meant less time at the frequent stops for sound of music locations Over all a good trip which could have just been organised better with a bit more time allocated to various areas. after all it was described as a 9 hour day. pity about the time we lost waiting around in the middle
Reviews: Berchtesgaden and Eagle's Nest Day Trip from Munich
Guest User2025-11-04
My son and I went to the Eagles Nest last week. The views, when the weather is clear, are truly amazing. During the time were were there we had clear skies then the fog came in and it we were inside a cloud. Remembering what happened here put a damper on how beautiful it is. This is something anyone interested in the history of WW2, should see. What's funny was knowing that Hitler didn't like coming here because he was afraid of heights.
