The Palácio Nacional da Ajuda is a Neoclassical building constructed on the site of the temporary wooden structure that housed the royal family after the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. Initially, the architect designed a late Baroque-Rococo structure, but later another architect redesigned it into a magnificent palace in the fashionable Neoclassical style.
The construction of the Palácio Nacional da Ajuda began in 1796 and continued into the 19th century. During the construction process, work was repeatedly halted or slowed down due to financial constraints or political conflicts. In 1807, when French troops invaded Portugal and the Portuguese royal family fled to Brazil, progress became extremely slow. The lack of funding also led to a reduction in the scale of the project.

The Belém Tower is a five-story fortification located in the Belém district of Lisbon, built between 1514 and 1520 during the reign of King Manuel I. Over time, the Belém Tower lost its original purpose of defending the port along the Tagus River. In subsequent centuries, it served as a customs house, telegraph station, and even a lighthouse. The storage rooms were converted into dungeons, and it was also used as a prison.

The Lisbon Cathedral, the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lisbon, is located in the historic Alfama district of Portugal's capital, Lisbon. As one of the oldest churches in Lisbon, it has survived multiple earthquakes since its construction in 1147 and has undergone several renovations, resulting in a blend of architectural styles including Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque.
