Oman-- The Sultanate of Oman, commonly known as Oman, is located in the southeastern part of the Arabian Peninsula, bordering the United Arab Emirates. It guards the world's crucial oil export route—the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf, yet remains a gentle and understated country.

As early as 2000 BC, extensive maritime and overland trade activities were already being conducted. Numerous ancient castles, ruins, and museums tell the story of that glorious history.

This place preserves the original Arab culture and traditions, it is the birthplace of One Thousand and One Nights, the port from which Sinbad set sail with his horn, a land that inspires longing—

Equally captivating are its stunning natural views, brilliant sunshine, beautiful beaches, vast oceans, rolling mountains, and fascinating oases, showcasing diverse landscapes that have earned Oman the title of "Earth's Topography Museum."

Nizwa, located about 90 min by car from the capital Muscat, is a fortress city. Historically one of Oman's ancient capitals, Nizwa served as the capital of the Imamate of Oman after 1920 until it was captured in 1955 by Muscat forces with British military assistance, suffering significant damage during the conflict. Since Sultan Qaboos came to power, the Omani government has invested heavily in revitalizing Nizwa, which has now regained its status as a date processing center, inland trade hub, and tourist destination.

Oman is also known as the "Land of a Thousand Forts," and Nizwa Fort is one of its iconic castles. Built in the 17th century, it took 12 years to complete and was constructed over an underground river. As one of the best-preserved forts in Oman to date, its magnificent architecture and legendary stories have made it one of the country's most famous tourist attractions.

Nizwa still retains its traditional market, where besides daily necessities like local specialty dates, fruits, and vegetables, you can also find traditionally crafted curved daggers made by blacksmiths. The local pottery and silverware craftsmanship are exceptionally exquisite and perfect.

The Nizwa Traditional Market is renowned for its silver jewelry crafted with traditional techniques, exquisitely carved "Khanjar" (traditional curved daggers), and pottery, representing the cultural symbol of Nizwa.

Nizwa is also the date processing center of Oman, offering a delightful taste experience with sweet dates paired with unique Arabic coffee.

Jabreen Castle stands majestically amidst the surrounding plains, tightly encircled by date palm groves, creating a breathtaking sight. Built in 1675, it once served as a significant center for astrology, medicine, and Islamic studies. Jabreen Castle is uniquely designed among all the castles in Oman, featuring rooms adorned with distinctive painted ceilings.

Oman Across Ages Museum – A microcosm of past glories and a symbol of renaissance. It is not just a museum, but a work of art, with design inspired by the Al Hajar Mountains, existing in harmony with nature.
