Reviews: [Exclusive for International Travelers] Taiwan High Speed Rail One-Way Ticket (15% Discount)

It's easy to book and cut the line for buying a ticket. The price is lower than buying at the station; also, you can have a reserved seat. Highly recommended that travellers buy from Trip.

Reviews: Taiwan PASS for Taiwan Railways + MRT + Taiwan Tourist Shuttle
Guest User2026-10-30
Since I was going to the south anyway, buying a 50% discount ticket for the near future was a real bargain. A round-trip ticket would normally cost around NT$1700, but with TripPass it was less than NT$1200. However, it's a bit of a shame that I can't buy a high-speed rail ticket. Also, the tickets can only be picked up at designated stations, which is inconvenient since the distance is quite far. Furthermore, the Taiwan Pass website isn't as detailed as TripPass's descriptions; I couldn't find the designated stations on the official website until I found them on TripPass. It also lists many restrictions and a lot of text, requiring a lot of time to read. The only advantage is saving money.

Reviews: [International travelers only] THSR Pass (Flexible 2-Day Pass/3-Day Pass) (Book 1 day in advance)
Guest User2026-05-21
I used this service for the following routes: Taipei-Tainan, Tainan-Chiayi, Chiayi-Tainan, and Tainan-Taipei. I was able to book online the first time, but after that I couldn't book online and had to book at the counter. Please be careful! I enjoyed the excitement of having stickers indicating my destinations attached to my ticket!

The whole trip was fantastic! Our tour leader, Michael, was incredibly friendly and even ordered us some super delicious peanut ice cream rolls at Shifen Old Street. I highly recommend this day trip! 🙌🙌🙌

Reviews: Taipei Fun Pass | Transportation & Popular Attractions Unlimited Travel Pass

I bought a Fun Pass, but the biggest regret was that the museums were closed on Mondays… Don't try to do everything in one day; I recommend getting a 2-day or 3-day pass to get around. I got my money's worth since I bought the 1-day tickets with a buy-one-get-one-free offer, but otherwise, it probably would have been cheaper to just buy tickets separately.

Reviews: 1-day tour to Alishan National Forest Recreation Area including admission ticket (departing from Taichung/Chiayi/Kaohsiung)
Guest User2026-10-30
Overall, I really enjoyed the tour! I have no complaints about the organizers themselves. I wanted to share my opinion, thinking it might help travelers like me. Keep in mind that the trip will be long: about 3-4 hours there, the same amount of time back, leaving you with about 3 hours at most for Alishan itself, including a lunch break. Overall, if, like me, you're not in Taiwan for long and don't think you'll get to Alishan on your own, it's worth it! Plus, in the middle of the active journey, I really enjoyed taking a nap on the bus and looking out the window. Otherwise, if you want to spend more time in the park and get a feel for the place, it's better to go on your own. A tour is a tour, and we cover all the sites on this route fairly quickly. Also, keep in mind the 1.5-hour drive along winding roads. If you have problems with motion sickness, bring some pills; they're really helpful. Again, this is not a minus of the tour, Alicia is simply a super guide, I was left with a pleasant impression!
