In summer, you can take the Assmannshausen cable car into the valley (own expense), enjoy lunch at a restaurant on the banks of the Rhine, and then take a boat trip to Sankt Goehausen, passing the famous Lore. Sample fine wines in a tavern or lose yourself in the picturesque town of Rüdheim. Please note that the tour stops in Rüdheim only if time permits. In winter, the cruise may not be able to run due to weather or water levels. In this case, a visit to the castle will be made instead.
