A little bit packed with group tourists, uncomfortable seating, not as same as what expect with the photo, but is once lifetime great experience. Follow with color and go into water batch by batch. Try to get in before sunset for better photo.

It was a unique experience to do in Rovaniemi, however I do not think it's fully worth it. Our guide was so lovely, the transportation, the lake was so peaceful and the glogi was fantastic. However, the ice floating itself was a little underwhelming only because the lake was shallow and the suits had some water in it which made my fingers and feet very cold. After the experience, we had glogi and biscuits in a warm cottage and walked out to the lake where we got to see the Northern lights (amazing experience). For this activity, you don't need any swimming experience and you would just need to dress as normal- you might just need to take your winter jacket and gloves off to fit into the suit.

a truly unique and relaxing experience. guides were super friendly, helpful, and explained everything really well, helped us take photos while we were in the water, and made sure we were comfortable all the time. super lucky to have had clear skies where i really just laid down to admire the stars. the aurora became pretty visible after i got out of the water as well, which was really super lucky of my group. guides made sure we were all informed of the visible aurora (even those that were already warming inside with the fire) so that we all had a chance to see it and get some photos. yummy cookies, juice, and marshmallows as well in a traditional finnish tent. highly highly recommended, one of the highlights of this trip even.

It was a truly unique experience. If you are lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, it is absolutely stunning and magical. The whole staff was very professional and kind. I would definitely recommend this experience!


