Our Dali private day tour exceeded all expectations! Erhai Lake's serene waters mirrored the sky, while the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple stood majestically, whispering tales of ancient wisdom. Xizhou Old Town transported us to a bygone era, and Wase's charm left us captivated. The Haidong Wetlands offered a serene respite, and Jinsuo Island's beauty was breathtaking. Our guide was knowledgeable and attentive, making this an unforgettable experience.β

The eight of us, who had planned a backpacking trip, only had one day to spare in Dali. We planned to take a train from Kunming the night before, do a day tour, and then return to Lijiang the next morning. We initially considered taking a taxi or bus, but decided that a private charter tour, while a bit more expensive, would be more cost-effective. The charter driver was attentive, using his smartphone to translate and always parking close to our destination. Thanks to him, we had a comfortable one-day tour. About 100 meters from the entrance to Heungnang Ancient Town, across from a public restroom, there was a coffee shop with a nice atmosphere and very affordable price. They grinded coffee beans on the spot and made Americano for 5 yuan. Maxim Coffee was 5 yuan elsewhere. Shuanglang Ancient Town wasn't that great. The S-shaped riverside road was a great photo opportunity. Chongqing Temple with its three pagodas was also nice.β

Driver was very friendly and knowledgeable about local culture and traditions. Scheduling was on time and although we ended slightly late, the driver was still cheerful and amicable all the way. Perfect day πξ₯
