The day started fine except for one issue another group member had with the tour guide. There were two guides one for English and another for Mandarin. The tour is basically "a hold your finger" take through the various attractions. We were taken from the Metro Station bus stand in a public bus to the first site, the fishing village. We took the small boat for a small spin in the sea, where we could not sight any pink dolphins, but the guide did point out some features along the short cruise. The village is drab. Next we took a public bus to the Big Buddha. The guide pointed out some facts about the features of the tourist place. The temple does offer a set meal at a cost if you choose to eat there. After the meal and a quick view of the Buddha (which was in shadow and very unphotogenic), we took the cable car (good experience) to return to the Metro station, to end the tour. On the whole, this was a very average tour. The male guide should learn to smile a bit more, though. Very Dour!★

The food and drink options are decent, though not overwhelming. The food is delicious! The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near the subway station!★

We bought a global e-SIM with 1GB per day (enough for instant messaging and Google Maps for two users, as it shares data). Our goal is to travel across four countries. We've traveled through two countries so far, and everything works fine. Initially, we had to manually configure the e-SIM because the hotspot for data tethering wasn't working. But it turned out to be easy to configure; the instructions given upon purchase were sufficient. So far, we're very happy.★

The Trip.com booking system only showed the pick-up point as China Hong Kong City (without an address), requiring me to arrive 20 minutes early. To avoid being late and missing the pick-up point, I went to check it out the night before, but after searching for a long time, I still couldn't find it. When I called the number listed on the Trip.com website, the person who answered said they were security guards and didn't know anything about the bus. So, the next day, I arrived very early and went to the address I found online, "33 Canton Road," because it was close to my hotel. Taxis refused to take my fare, so I had to drag my heavy luggage around for a long time before finally finding the check-in point on the first floor of China Hong Kong City. The actual pick-up point was on the basement level, and I needed to be led there by staff. Furthermore, the bus company information was also unclear, only stating "Zhuhai" without specifying which mode of transportation to Zhuhai. I hope Trip.com can provide clearer information about the check-in point to better serve out-of-town travelers.
