Our chauffeur Dushan is friendly and he shared with us some of the history, The way to sigiriya is about 100km, and to climb up the big rock is really a challenge to one’s stamina under the hot sun, but it was such a great experience!

Superbly organised!!! Lovely driver from Kandy to Ambewale as the train isn’t running from Kandy at the moment. Beautiful scenery en route. Train trip was wonderful!!! Loved every minute. Highly recommend doing this.

The journey was very pleasant, the weather was very good, the driver introduced us to various plants and attractions along the way, and took us to find guides from all over the place, on time and polite, and people were very friendly.
