We were part of a 20 people group and the focus was on cental area. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful. At some point we decided to explore the side areas on our own. It’s quite hot and the place is huge, better take an umbrella with you.★

Our guide, Lily, provide us very clear instruction on the itinerary and she also tell us interesting stories during the tour. Extra info: you do not need to reserve extra entree ticket for tiananmen square. The tour does not require it for the entree.★

The guide at the Forbidden City in the morning, Mr. Niu, was excellent. He explained things carefully and patiently, sharing many interesting stories. The tour was very memorable, and I learned a lot! In the afternoon, the guide at the Temple of Heaven, Mr. Fan, was also very attentive and knowledgeable. I was amazed by the many architectural details of the Temple of Heaven, and he explained the emperor's sacrificial rites to Heaven in detail. I learned a great deal!Trip.com picks
