Reviews: From Madrid: Toledo and Segovia Guided Day Trip
Guest User2026-09-29
I took the one-day tour of Toledo and Segovia. Our morning guide, Tamara, dropped us off at the entrance to Old Toledo and told us we could find information about the city and historical monuments, as well as free maps, in the plaza above. This wasn't entirely true; I understand it was a self-guided tour, but a map would have been appreciated, especially for older people who don't use Google Maps. Our afternoon guide in Segovia, Cristina, was fantastic. She kept a good pace, waited for us, and had excellent knowledge of the city and important details.

Reviews: From Madrid: Toledo & Jewish Quarter Half-Day Tour

This was a very thorough look at a fine old city. Arancha really knew and clearly cared about Toledo. It was 8 hours and involved a lot of walking, so be ready for that. But you learn an awful lot too. We were very happy with this trip because

We were extremely pleased with our guide Enrique. From the time he greeted us at the town circle and took us for churro’s and coffee at the local eatery, his local charm was amazing. Enrique then took us around (we hired a driver) to see the great views overlooking Toledo. We then walked the Jewish quarter and his depth of knowledge kept our attention the entire five hours spent with him. I highly recommend Enrique as a local Toledo guide. Even after our time was up, he helped secure us another guide through one of his colleagues for Segovia after our initial tour was canceled.

Reviews: Toledo + Segovia twin-city 1-day tour (guide/self-guided tour dual options included)
Guest User2026-08-05
The itinerary was actually divided into morning and afternoon sessions. In the morning, one guide led us to Toledo, and we returned to the Madrid travel agency around noon for a break until 3 PM. Then, another guide led us to Segovia. The contrast was stark. In Toledo, I didn't purchase a guided tour because I felt my English wasn't good enough and didn't want to listen. I thought the guide should simply tell us where and what time to meet, and then let us explore freely. But he didn't say anything, leaving us initially unaware and following him. When we entered a church, he said we hadn't purchased a guided tour and wouldn't let us in. We were incredibly frustrated. My husband, indignant, bought tickets himself, looked around, and said it was utterly uninteresting. The afternoon guide was completely different. Before we left, he again asked for our opinions, saying that Segovia was quite large and it would be better for us to explore with him. The guided tour wasn't expensive, so I paid an extra 6 euros per person, 18 euros for three people, to purchase the service. The tour guide was indeed very helpful and attentive throughout the trip. At each stop, he would first tell us where the restrooms were, where we could go sightseeing, and where to meet back. I was very satisfied. A big thumbs up to this tour guide! (Picture attached)

Reviews: Underground Toledo Tour in English: Discover Hidden History
Guest User2026-10-11
Alberto was an excellent guide who was funny, knowledgeable and approaches me. We learnt so many interesting things about the city of Toledo, the original Roman city and the Jewish, Muslim and Catholic constructions built on top of each other over it. Would highly recommend this fascinating way to learn about the city’s history and explore some unique spaces with a small group.
