What a fantastic tour! This was our second time on La Palma, and we discovered new, beautiful, and interesting places on this tour. Rosi explained everything concisely yet very informatively and entertainingly. This tour is absolutely recommended!

Reviews: Tajogaite Volcano, the essential route: 5 km short version

Very impressive, and the tour was excellently led and narrated by our guide (Mario) in a very friendly and engaging manner. His personal account of the Tajogaite eruption was a great asset.

In the words of my 8 year old son “BEST DAY EVER!”. We caught the cable car to the viewing platform and climbed to the summit thereafter (permit required to access the summit). We spent 11 days in Tenerife and this was our last day excursion. We were lucky enough to access the summit of volcano with no other tourists around. We spent 30 minutes at the top taking photos and having a good look around at the crater and views. Things to note - If you drive like we did, the roads are long and winding. It’s about 70-90 minutes from most locations on the island. The drive is not for the faint hearted but is manageable. Parking was a bit of an issue. It’s super busy at any given time. We did get a space eventually but had to walk from the main road nearly to the cable car area at the base. Boarding is 20 minutes before you allocated cable car time. Be there or be square! They did leave without people who arrived late. If you are hoping to access the summit of the volcano you need to apply for a permit. We applied for this a number of months before our visit. Also, if you are going to attempt the summit be prepared for the altitude. Me and my son wholly underestimated the altitude situation. We had to stop nearly every 5 minutes to catch our breath. Took us around an hour to climbed to the top. Yes, parts of the track you will have to physically climb. Take plenty of water and snacks! All in all…. If you are going up there, go for the summit. Amazing experience and something me and my son will never forget!

Reviews: Essence of Tenerife:Candelaria, Orotava, Garachico and Masca

Great trip, but nothing is perfect, so one tip for the guide. When the bus is full and the first ones to get on the bus choose the best seats - couples on different benches by the window - the guide could ask the passengers to be considerate of others and ask them to change seats from time to time. For example, during several stops, seats could be changed, then everyone would be able to take pictures of the scenery. The guide sometimes tells the passengers to have their cameras ready for what they will soon see. Everyone would get something. Now most of them will be left without photo memories, because some of the windows may be covered by advertisements or in the aisle seat, all you can take a picture of is the car upholstery.

The guide gave a really good experience and overall tour. The tour through the plantation was really beautiful and breathtaking. The guide (Fran) was good at engaging people in both English and Spanish. We helped our children with translation and Fran was good at helping with gestures and showing maps on the ground. Definitely a really good experience
