Our tour leader was Byron, who was incredibly nice and patient with all our questions, providing detailed answers and explanations of important information. We were also very lucky; the rain stopped as soon as we arrived at the mangroves. We saw proboscis monkeys and fireflies (not spectacular, but there were dozens, maybe even hundreds). The sunset was also quite nice, and we saw everything we wanted to see. The pace of the trip was very comfortable, neither too fast nor too slow.

Our tour guide, Ah Jie, was adorable! Our group of 9 had a great time despite the long journey. Dinner was pretty good, but afternoon tea was just average. We also got to take photos with baby crocodiles and visit a cocoa factory (no purchases required). We saw proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, and fireflies.

The Kota Kinabalu mangrove firefly tour is absolutely worth it! In the evening, we took a boat trip through the mangroves, encountered proboscis monkeys, and enjoyed a stunning sunset. After nightfall, the entire forest was filled with countless fireflies, like a silver river scattered across the rainforest. The fireflies danced around the boat, creating a dreamlike scene that left us speechless. Photos simply cannot capture the breathtaking experience. The guide was very professional, guiding the fireflies closer, making the entire experience a truly unforgettable one. Highly recommended!

The tour was perfectly organized: everything was smooth, comfortable, and on time. We were picked up right on time, and the vehicle was comfortable, which was especially important given the rather long drive. We had a wonderful day and had a lot of fun. We saw lots of proboscis monkeys in their natural habitat, and the evening with the fireflies was simply magical—one of the most beautiful experiences of our trip. Special thanks to our guide and boat driver. Thanks to them, the tour was easy, interesting, and in a great mood.
