Things to do in Hangzhou

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.

At the summit, there's just a rock and a flat area, nothing special. On the other side, there's a temple to the God of Wealth with 1399 steps. You need to be very sincere to reach the top. Below are various Buddhist halls and temples, as well as some stone carvings of Buddha statues. The scenery is pleasant, with mountains, water, and forests.

This was during lunar 1st. Which attraction tons of crowds. Overall great place with museum relics shown apart from just the temple. Also the outer stone Buddha images was unique!

An interesting place to visit! :) We rented traditional cheese costumes, which was super fun, and took some great pictures around the park. The show was good, too, but unfortunately, some people seemed more interested in chatting than watching, which made it a bit noisy and distracting. :(( Still, it was a fun experience and definitely worth a visit!

If you're going to visit Three Pools Mirroring the Moon on West Lake, you absolutely must take a boat tour; otherwise, you won't be able to go. The so-called Ten Scenes of West Lake can only be seen at different times of the year, so a trip there is just for sightseeing and learning about them.

It's worth a visit; this is my second time. There are many different types of boats and different docks, so make sure your navigation app doesn't go to the wrong one. Afterwards, there are many places to eat in the town; you can try the Thousand Island Lake fish soup, it's very delicious.

Xixi Wetland is fantastic. I went on a particularly hot Saturday noon, the day before the Double Ninth Festival. Seniors get in free, and those aged 60-70 get half price (¥40). You enter through the Zhoujiacun gate; the pier for the rowboats is called Zhoujiacun Pier. Rowboats cost ¥100 per hour, and the electric shuttle bus loop is ¥30 per person—both are reasonably priced. The Impression Pier, North Gate Pier, and Fugui Pier for rowboats are all within the free Xixi Wetland area.

We went to Tonglu's Heartbeat Park during the National Day holiday, but unfortunately it rained. However, the kids still had a great time. There were rides and a few NPCs playing games, making it quite fun. The price was a bit high, and you couldn't replay the rides repeatedly, which reduced the overall value. The roast chicken was delicious and flavorful, and the price wasn't too expensive; I'd recommend it.

This is a worthwhile place to visit, to experience the culture of the ancient canal, and it's especially suitable for history and geography students. At Gongchen Bridge, you can feel the blend of ancient and modern times, and at the museum, you can learn about the canal's evolution and its impact on the country's economy, politics, military, and culture.

There were quite a few attractions, but the rainy weather diminished the overall experience. We finished all the rides quickly, and my child felt they hadn't had enough. I suggest increasing the number of rides, even if it costs extra.
