We arrived here from the port on a cruise ship, and fortunately I had already made this booking because the recruiters in the port were annoying. Moreover, our guide was quite late, which made us doubt whether she would show up, but that turned out to be okay. There is not much to see here, but our guide made it a beautiful and educational day.★

I made a reservation for Mari Mari Folk Village the day before. They sent me a confirmation by 6 PM on the day of arrival every day. I saw lizards, toured the village, tasted food and drinks, did some henna at the end, and watched a performance. It is a bit of a distance, but if you have plenty of time, it is worth visiting at least once.★

It was very far from city so better to join the tour bus if you want to see Mt. Kinabal. where is big and mostly covered with clouds. We were lucky that we could see the top of mountain in a while.★

This trip was wonderful! We enjoyed pandan juice, coconut cakes, and other delicious treats, and experienced many fun activities. We didn't want to leave! Xia Ya's arrangements were incredibly meticulous!★

It is not cheap, but worth for money.
For busy season that might require schedule adjustments, better make reservation directly to the facility. (it took us a while to confirm our reservation after kindly adjusted by Trip.com.)
In spite of heavy crowd of guests, the operation was super organized and we were well attended and kept entertained all thru the 3 hours.
We all (including 6yo/9yo kids) were so satisfied with this experience.
The only issue we faced was the car parking. (won't be o problem as far as you use their pickup.)
Please bring mosquito spray, or get a very good organic one at the sight s(RM 15).
