The natural scenery was breathtaking. it’s incredible to see what nature has created along this coastline.
The staff were very friendly and explained the sights in detail. They even provided seasickness tablets beforehand. I also appreciated that they reassured everyone not to worry about which side of the boat they were sitting on, as the boat would slowly turn 360° at the main sights so everyone could enjoy the view and take photos.
The only disappointing part was the Trip.com email, which stated: “Please arrive at the meeting point 45 minutes before your selected session time.”
Our cruise was at 9:15am, so because we had a long drive, we arrived around 8:00am. However, the shop wasn’t even open and the briefing only started around 9:20am.
The cruise itself was fantastic and highly recommended, but Trip.com really needs to correct this misleading arrival instruction. There’s no reason for guests to rush and arrive so early when the meeting point isn’t even open.★

Oh my god, Nicole, the customer service representative, was incredibly kind! 🥹 I booked too late and there were no tickets left for the day trip, but I don't drive, so getting to the cruise pier was a huge challenge. She was so incredibly helpful. First, she checked if there was any public transportation, but the buses were sold out, and the bus schedule was too late for the cruise. She then contacted other people and managed to free up two seats for me (please don't follow my example!). I'm so incredibly grateful; she took on so much work that wasn't even her responsibility 😭 Please give her a raise or a bonus!
Also, the day trip was really great! I thought the group meal would be some mediocre stuff, but it was actually eaten in a garden restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows, and the fish and chips were better than in Hobart town. The Tasman cruise was also amazing; we saw dolphins, seals, and a huge variety of seabirds. The reefs and moss were stunning—it felt like something out of the movie *How to Train Your Dragon*!★

Despite the weather being less than favourable and hindering the fabulous views we were expecting, Hugo ensured that we received value for our money and gave us a couple of additional options to drive past and enjoy. A stunning place, but be mindful of your energy! We went to Wulong Karst on October 19th. The views are breathtaking! The place is 100% worth the long drive (we left at 9 a.m. and arrived at 1 p.m., including lunch and a stop). We made the return trip on Monday in just two hours. A huge plus – they picked us up and dropped us off right at the hotel; I was completely exhausted by the end.
The driver (license plate ABQ8552) was the best and most prepared of anyone I've seen! There were four people from Russia and four from Korea in the group; no one spoke Chinese, but thanks to the excellent translator on his phone, everyone understood everything. The driver provided water, shared the route on WeChat, made sure no one got lost, and then offered snacks.
The route itself is almost 7 km in 4 hours. The excursion seems harmless, but it's quite strenuous. The hike is mostly downhill; if you have knee problems, they'll definitely flare up. There's a long walk between the locations to the bus (about 20 minutes uphill), and we were even afraid we'd get lost, but everything was fine. Highly recommended!
