Sarangkot is located in the northwest of Pokhara, 1,592 meters above sea level. It is a good viewing point for overlooking Fishtail Peak and Annapurna Peak. Many people choose to get up early to watch the sunrise, but since the snow-capped mountains are located to the east of Sarangkot, you can actually see a more beautiful view at sunset. 1. The magnificent view of "Sunshine Golden Mountain" In clear weather, the rolling snow-capped mountains will be dyed golden by the sun, and the magnificent view of "Sunshine Golden Mountain" is amazing. In addition, this is also the take-off point for many paragliding projects. When you watch Fishtail Peak from high in the air, the scenery that is within reach will be exciting, and the beautiful Phewa Lake is also in sight. 2. Suggestions for going to Sarangkot Going to Sarangkot to watch the sunrise usually requires departure at 5 a.m., please make an appointment for a chartered driver the day before. Take a bus from the Pokhara Lakeside area to the parking lot of Sarangkot. After getting off the bus, you still have to walk for about 40 minutes to reach the viewing platform on the top of the mountain, where you can see the best view of the snow-capped mountains. However, you don't have to climb to the top of the mountain to watch the sunrise. There are many good hotels and restaurants along the path along the ridge from the parking lot. Almost every one of them has a good viewing platform. You can order a cup of hot drink and sit down to wait for the sunrise. 3. Experience Sarangkot paragliding If you want to experience Sarangkot paragliding, you can find several paragliding companies in the lakeside area. They will be responsible for the round-trip transportation to Sarangkot. Paragliding activities are usually only carried out in fine weather from October to April of the following year.Pokhara · 47.5 km from Manang

Thamel is the core district where tourists gather in Kathmandu, serving as a base for travelers from all over the world. Hotels, restaurants, bookstores, and currency exchange shops are densely packed along the narrow alleys, earning it the nickname Little Hong Kong of Kathmandu due to its bustling trade. The area is a maze of crisscrossing alleys and dense shops, best explored on foot, making it perfect for leisurely shopping during the day. After dark, the area transforms. Neon signs light up, and music drifts from bars and rooftop restaurants. Dining on a rooftop terrace offers a view of the lively nightlife below.Nepal · Kathmandu

Devi’s Fall Pokhara is also known asDevi’s Fall Pokhara. The river flows nearPhewa Lake, forming this well-known local waterfall. It is one of the larger waterfalls near Pokhara. 1. The magic of Devi’s Fall Pokhara The water flow of the waterfall is usually light, but it is very rapid; it only feels like a true waterfall during the rainy season. Its unique feature lies in the underground cave beneath it, which forms an above-ground river after passing through the cave. The cave is filled with steam year-round, and you can feel the distinct heat with your hand. The water vapor creates a spectrum of colors in the air, and rainbows are often visible. 2. The origin of the name Devi’s Fall Pokhara The name originated in 1961 when a young couple from Switzerland—the man, named David, and his beloved girlfriend—were hiking and exploring when they discovered this waterfall and were immediately captivated. At that time, there were no paths. After lingering on the ground for a while, they went down into the cave. Due to the slippery ground, David's girlfriend accidentally fell into the rapid river. Seeing this, David immediately jumped in to save her, but unfortunately, both were swallowed by the waterfall... To commemorate David and his girlfriend who lost their lives here, the waterfall was named Devi’s Fall Pokhara. Of course, it also serves as a warning to everyone to be careful.Pokhara · 53.4 km from Manang

Nagarkot is the edge of the Kathmandu Valley, more than 2,100 meters above sea level, known as "the viewing platform of the Himalayas". When the weather is clear and the visibility is high, you can overlook the Himalayas on the opposite side. From Mount Everest on the east side to the Annapurna Mountains on the west side, the lined up snow-capped mountains are quite impressive. The hotel gathering place on the top of the mountain is a good place for viewing the scenery. It takes ten minutes to walk north from the bus station in Nagarkot to the hotel gathering place on the top of the mountain. There is also a temple on the top of the mountain, and you can see some simple carvings. This hill is where you can see the snow-capped mountains, and most hotels here have a viewing platform with a good view, and some can even watch the sunrise through the window in the room.Nepal · Nagarkot

Swayambhuna Temple is located on a hill about 2 kilometers west of Kathmandu city. It has a history of more than 2,500 years. It is an ancient Buddhist temple in Nepal and is listed as a world cultural heritage. Because there are many monkeys here, it is also called "Monkey Temple". 1. The golden pagoda in the center goes up the stairs to the top of the Monkey Temple. There are monkeys scurrying around all the time. Don't take food in your hands, otherwise, the monkeys will snatch it away. When you come to the Monkey Temple, you will see the golden pagoda in the center. Although it is smaller than the Buddha Pagoda with a similar shape, it is very imposing because it stands on the top of the mountain. There are a pair of big eyes on each of the four sides of the stupa, as if staring at all things in the world. There is a big question mark at the position of the nose. It is actually the Nepalese number "one", which symbolizes harmony and unity; above the Buddha's eyes is a spiral ring. At the top of the canopy is a huge gemstone, which means Nirvana. The base of the tower is a huge white hemisphere, and there are many small stone pagodas around it. 2. Overlooking the bottom of the mountain and feeling the peace In addition to the stupa, there are some other temple buildings on the top of the mountain, and many devout believers can be seen. After admiring the building, walk to the observation deck next to it, overlooking the densely packed houses under the mountain, which are not high but colorful. Many people like to come here at dusk, it will have a different flavor. Many tourists will sit in a daze on the steps under the pagoda or on the chairs by the small square, feeling the peaceful atmosphere here. From time to time, pigeons flew over and landed on the square or stayed on the pagoda. It was peaceful. Of course, there are many monkeys here, and they are not afraid of people at all. You can take pictures of them casually, but you need to pay attention to your belongings, and please don't provoke them. There is also a panoramic view of Kathmandu and the Himalayas when the weather is fine, especially at sunset.Nepal · Kathmandu

Bodha Stupa is a famous building in the area. It is located in the northeast of Kathmandu. 1. The appearance of the Bodha Stupa is extraordinary. It has a huge white dome with extraordinary momentum, giving people a feeling of generosity. There is a square tower on the huge white covered bowl, and there are huge Buddha eyes painted on all sides, indicating that the Buddha's Dharma is boundless and omniscient. Above the Buddha's eyes is a golden minaret. There are more than 100 small relief sculptures of Amitabha Buddha on the outer edge of the tower base. The small Buddha statues are stained with red paint and wear yellow flowers. 2. A grand festival is held every year. Every year around February of the Gregorian calendar, thousands of pilgrims pour in from all directions, decorating the Bodha Stupa. 3. Five-color flags and prayer wheel flags have five colors, which represent the five basic elements that make up the world, red for fire, blue for sky, white for clouds, green for water, and yellow for surface.Nepal · Kathmandu

The Peace Pagoda is a white pagoda standing on the ridge of the southern shore of Phewa Lake. Four gilded Buddha statues are enshrined on each of the four sides, representing the Buddhist culture of different countries. The pagoda is located on Mount Anadu, about 1,100 meters above sea level, and is one of the viewpoints overlooking the panoramic view of Pokhara. From here, you can see the blue waves of Phewa Lake, the red-roofed houses in the city of Pokhara, and the Annapurna Peak and Fishtail Peak in the Himalayas. Especially at sunrise and sunset, the snow-capped mountains and the sunset glow complement each other, and the scenery is stunning. Tourists usually take a ferry from Phewa Lake to the foot of the mountain, and then hike for an hour to the top. Along the way, they can enjoy the natural ecology of terraced fields and mountain birds. As a landmark building in Pokhara, the Peace Pagoda is not only a Buddhist holy place, but also attracts travelers who pursue spiritual tranquility. The pagoda carries the wish for world peace and has become one of the spiritual symbols of Nepal's "Oriental Switzerland".Pokhara · 52.3 km from Manang

I hiked up in the summer rainy season. It was sunny in the morning and I saw the snow-capped mountains. It rained on the way back in the afternoon. The scenery was beautiful. It is worth a visit. Hiking [from the foot of Phewa Lake to the top of the mountain (snow mountain viewing platform) at an average speed of about 3 hours] Bus (90 Nepalese rupees/trip) to the town (you can transfer to the Fawa Lake bus for 25 Nepalese rupees/trip) Cable car (8 US dollars/one way, 12 US dollars/round trip) Taxi. No matter which way you travel, it is worth a visit. Getting up early and hiking up to watch the sunrise on the snow-capped mountains will give you a different experience. Different altitudes have different scenery. There is a quiet and beautiful, isolated and independent beauty. Especially the scattered villages and rural scenery all the way up to the central part, it feels like the plateau version of Tao Yuanming's paradise. If you have enough time, you can also choose to stay in the mountains for one or two nights. Watch the sunrise and sunset, the rolling clouds, the snow-capped mountains and lakes, the villages, the terraces, and the mountain views. You can also feel the life of the indigenous people of the plateau.

20240612pm: 1. The World Peace Pagoda is located on the bank of Fewa Lake. Fewa Lake is a lake in the urban area of Pokhara, the second largest city in Nepal. It is the second largest lake in Nepal, with an area of about 6 square kilometers. It is surrounded by mountains, with beautiful scenery and rich entertainment projects. The scenic area is divided into two major areas: the mountain and the lake. It is a good place for viewing photography, vacation and health, humanities learning, worshiping Buddha and praying, and parent-child entertainment. ① Address: Pokhara City, Gandaki Province, Nepal ② Transportation: Direct bus access, easy parking by car ③ Peak season: None ④ Time: 3 hours ⑤ Ticket price: Free, it is a public area 2. The mountain is mainly for sightseeing, overlooking the panoramic view of Pokhara City. When the weather is clear, you can see the Fishtail Peak (Machhapuchhre) 30 kilometers away with an altitude of 6,993 meters, but the road up and down the mountain is very narrow and it is very troublesome to miss the car. The main attractions on the mountain are: ① World Peace Pagoda: A white pagoda built by Japanese Buddhists, completed in 2000, 41 meters high, with four statues on the four sides depicting the birth of Sakyamuni, his enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, his preaching in Deer Park, and his nirvana. After World War II, Japanese Buddhists built 100 peace pagodas around the world, including two in Nepal. This is one of them, the 71st. The other is in the temple area of various countries in Lumbini Park where I visited yesterday. The two pagodas look similar. It is said that the finger bone relics of Sakyamuni are enshrined in this pagoda. You need to take off your shoes when you go up the pagoda. ② Relics Monument: A relic monument below the World Peace Pagoda was built in 1951. Although the monument is in Japanese, it is all Chinese characters. The front is engraved with "Namo Myoho Renge Kyo" and "Lixin Anguo"; the back is engraved with "One day, all the seas return to the wonderful Dharma, and the last ten thousand years of the Dharma should be widely spread", etc., and the bottom is engraved with "Widely offer relics". The platform where the relic is located is surrounded by flowers and has a high appearance value ③Nihonsan Myohoji Temple: a single-family house with many small Buddha statues enshrined inside, which is dazzling ④Buddhist shrines: Nepal presents the characteristics of Buddhist communities, which can be seen everywhere in the streets and alleys. There are several small steps extending up the mountain road, leading to a single Buddhist shrine on the hillside ⑤Bust: A half-length male statue with his hands folded in prayer, named Meen Bahadur Gurung, who was elected Deputy Minister of Defense of Nepal in 2015. There is an octagonal rest pavilion built on the cliff next to it ⑥ Beverage shop: relatively cheap, the coffee is famous, the coffee beans are freshly ground, and it is more expensive to add ice, but it is only about 10 yuan in RMB. Some shops are well located on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the Fewa Lake below the mountain ⑥ Observation deck: The viewing platform with the widest view, the fee is 30 rupees (1.7 yuan), there are flower basket swings and heart-shaped photo frames on the platform, and it is more expensive to sit on the photo frame to take pictures ⑦ Grocery stalls: located on the road up the mountain, mostly religious supplies
