▲ Wukang Road is located in Xuhui District, Shanghai, originally named Ferguson Road after the American missionary John Ferguson. Stretching between the bustling Huaihai Middle Road to the north and the tranquil Huashan Road to the south, Wukang Road is a "Chinese Historical and Cultural Street" with 37 historical buildings. Among them, 14 are well-preserved historical structures, making it a truly renowned "Celebrity Road."

The Wukang Building, designed by renowned Hungarian architect László Hudec, is the iconic landmark of Wukang Road. With its red brick facade, corner balconies, and triangular classical pediment windows, the building exudes the charm of the French Renaissance period. The Wukang Building's unique shape resembles a giant ship ready to set sail, which explains its former name "Normandie Apartments." Many famous film artists like Wu Yin, Zheng Junli, and Zhao Dan once lived here, and currently, Kong Xiangxi's daughter, Miss Kong Er, is one of the major property owners.

▲ One after another, the former residences of celebrities are a major feature of Wukang Road. No. 113 is the former residence of literary giant Ba Jin, a tranquil and warm home that served as his last and longest residence in Shanghai. No. 393 is the British-style country garden villa once inhabited by Huang Xing. No. 1, Lane 40 is the former residence of Tang Shaoyi, a Spanish-style standalone garden house exuding vintage grandeur...
