▲ The icebreaker is a dual-purpose vessel for both passenger transport and icebreaking, launched in 1960 with a displacement of only 3,540 tons. While this tonnage is insignificant among modern icebreakers, it boasts extraordinary capabilities, capable of breaking through 8-meter-thick ice layers. From December to April each winter, the northern part of the Gulf of Bothnia west of Finland is covered by ice several feet thick, allowing travelers to board the icebreaker for sightseeing voyages.

▲ In 1902, Finnish architect Josef Stenbäck designed and built Kemi Church (Kemin kirkko), which underwent foundation maintenance in 2003. This pink brick church in Gothic Revival style attracts numerous visitors with its unique charm.
