It's easy to use and very comfortable overall. We switched to Niohumaru, Zuiganji Temple, and grilled fish cakes. The price difference might not be significant, but the experience was fantastic. Highly recommended!

Reviews: Gubei Water Town + Simatai Great Wall Day Trip & Optional Night/Day Tour/Private Group Transfer
Guest User2026-11-03
We took a tour with a Russian guide. Volodya was our guide. He told us interesting facts about China along the way. We shared lunch, which was enough since we're light eaters. The samovar was delicious. We also bought a cable car ticket from Volodya; we skipped the boat. We thoroughly enjoyed strolling around the city of Gubei; it's very beautiful in autumn. On the way back, after descending the wall, we sat in an open-air foot bath with warm water. It was wonderful, a relief for our feet after a long walk. Then we climbed up to the pagoda, which offered a stunning view of the entire city and the wall. And when it got dark, it was incredibly beautiful! We left on schedule and were dropped off at the same stop where we were picked up. We loved everything.

A fantastic tour. The timing was perfect – there were few tourists on the wall, and the walk through the Summer Palace was done before dark. Special thanks to the guide for her stories and travel tips about Beijing.

"Thank you so much for this trip! Everything was organized perfectly: no hitches, precise timing, well-thought-out routes, and very comfortable conditions. The guide was so engaging that even familiar things became new. The Great Wall of China was especially memorable—it became the highlight of the trip. It felt like they truly cared about the tourists: they suggested the best photo spots, where to find authentic souvenirs, and how to avoid the crowds. I will definitely recommend you to my friends and would happily go again!"

We were part of a 20 people group and the focus was on cental area. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful. At some point we decided to explore the side areas on our own. It’s quite hot and the place is huge, better take an umbrella with you.
