▲ The Savior on the Spilled Blood is located beside the Griboyedov Canal, adjacent to the Mikhailovsky Garden and the Russian Museum. It is one of the few purely Russian-style architectural structures in Saint Petersburg. In 1881, Tsar Alexander II was assassinated by members of the revolutionary group "People's Will" after a failed revolution. Between 1883 and 1907, the church was built on the site of the tsar's assassination, hence its name. The design of the Savior on the Spilled Blood draws inspiration from Saint Basil's Cathedral, featuring dazzling multi-colored onion domes. The chapel's highest point reaches approximately 81 meters, creating a majestic presence. The church's elegant silhouette is adorned with intricate, vividly colored mosaic patterns, complemented by richly decorated ceramic tiles and enameled bronze plates. ▲ Kazan Cathedral is located in Saint Petersburg and was designed by Russian architect Voronikhin. The semicircular colonnade consists of 94 columns facing the street and embracing the square, with a monument standing in front of the colonnade.
