Then, you'll be picked up at Naples Central Station and, after a short drive by a comfortable minibus, you will reach the archaeological park of Herculaneum which is much smaller but better preserved than Pompeii. While Pompeii was covered by four to five meters of ashes, Herculaneum was buried under a mud landslide deep 20 meters.
