
▲ Pingyao Ancient City is a historic ancient town located in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, China. It has well-preserved the basic appearance of a county town from the Ming and Qing dynasties and is one of the most complete ancient cities remaining in the Han ethnic region of China. Originally built during the reign of King Xuan of the Western Zhou Dynasty, its current city walls were expanded in the third year of the Hongwu era during the Ming Dynasty.

▲ The Qiao Family Compound, located in Qiaojiabao Village, Dongguan Town, Qi County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, is a castle-like architectural complex with a rich historical and cultural heritage. Zhongtang (中堂): This is the name of the ancestral hall of Qiao Zhiyong, the fourth generation of the Qiao family, and is the core part of the Qiao Family Compound. Dexingtang (德兴堂): Located west of Zhongtang, this was the residence of Qiao Zhixiang, the son of Qiao Quande. The overall layout of the courtyard is in the shape of the Chinese character "寿" (longevity) in clerical script.
