This was more than i expected. So much information, history, symbolism given by our tour guide. She was great! Book morning hours or after 2pm to get the indoor stain-glass magic!!

We had a truly magical experience thanks to Allan, and we left with simply unforgettable memories. The visit to Montserrat and its perched monastery was a truly immersive experience. Allan is a passionate and extremely knowledgeable guide, with impressive expertise on the mountain's unique geology, as well as on the local flora and fauna, which he makes accessible and captivating. His communication is very fluid, making the visit lively and enjoyable from beginning to end. Beyond his knowledge, Allan also conveys a genuine ecological awareness, encouraging us to better understand, respect, and preserve this exceptional environment. A human, enriching, and inspiring experience that we wholeheartedly recommend!

Our guide, Katya, was attentive and managed the group well. The bus was nice and uncrowded and the driver did a great job on a very twisty road. The group was small. I felt that there could be more historical background provided. The main downside to this tour is that it seemed quite disorganized at the start. When we arrived at the meeting location (which is far from major attractions and not close to coffee shops) at 7:45 am as it stated to do on the Get Your Guide page, no one from the tour company was present and it was a bit confusing as a result. Our bus then did not leave until 8:30 am despite the tour being scheduled to start at 8:00 am. We still had time to see the Basilica and Black Madonna, walk to the Cross of St. Michael, do a liquor tasting, and peruse the market. We had about four hours in Montserrat in total. Montserrat itself is beautiful and definitely worth a trip.
