The hotel provided a comfortable and pleasant stay overall. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout the visit. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping was consistent and responsive to requests.
The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation options, which made getting around very manageable. The hotel facilities were generally well-kept, and the common areas were clean and welcoming.

Everything went perfectly. Ines is a force of nature. Knowledgeable, very friendly, and punctual. The tour was conducted in a small group, in a van, and felt very intimate, like being with family (there were 2 of us, plus a lovely family of 5, and the guide). We made many stops without rushing and had time to fully enjoy it. The tour was well-planned, and Ines was always smiling. She speaks perfect English, making it easy to understand, even for those who struggle with the language. We highly recommend it!★

First of all, amazing concept where you leave with a truly one-of-a-kind memento! We were warmly received by the hosts, and guided through the entire process of wet-plate collodion photography from the 1850s. We clearly saw their knowledge and passion for the craft.
We especially loved how we got to see - in just a few seconds - the negative photo came to life right in front of our eyes in the darkroom (and we got to capture it on video!)
We came with our own clothing we wished to use for the photos, but they also have a wardrobe full of clothing, hats, and accessories true to that time period (which is convenient). They give the photograph in a nice box for protection, and guidance on how to care for it. We will definitely come back and do this as a yearly experience. Overall, perfectly executed.★

Our tour with Lourenco was absolutely amazing! The architecture was absolutely stunning — we were in awe of the sights from start to finish. It was incredible to see such masterpieces up close and walk the grounds in person.
Lourenço, was knowledgeable, engaging, and full of wonderful stories. He was professional yet so much fun to spend the day with. You truly can’t go wrong booking this trip — highly recommend both the experience and the guide!
