My wife and I along with another couple recently visited Auckland, New Zealand on a cruise vacation to the South Pacific. While there, we took this excursion. The bus was very comfortable and our group was quite small, which made the experience very enjoyable. Our guide was personable and very knowledgeable. We visited a rain forest and several scenic overlook areas with amazing views of the forest and lake scenery. We also visited a black sand beach. This excursion was very enjoyable.

We learned so much about the trees and plants unique to NZ on the bush walk. It gave us a foundation for the rest of our trip around NZ. We loved walking on the black sand beach. We could have used a bit more time on the beach but overall the tour was well planned. We also enjoyed tasting Manuka honey and chewing a kawakawa leaf.

We went out on the water with Dalton. He's a very friendly and relaxed guy. He makes sure you feel comfortable going out on the water. He also gave us some useful information about the harbor. And we enjoyed tea from the kayak with a brownie.


