We were picked up from our hotel with great punctuality and taken to the port to catch the ferry to La Digue. We received our ferry tickets to Praslin, and upon arrival on La Digue, a hostess gave us a map of the island, a bottle of water, and escorted us to the bike rental stand. From there, we were free to explore on our own for the rest of the day. The bikes weren't the latest model, but we had no problems. It was wonderful to be able to discover the island and its beautiful beaches by bike and to stop wherever and whenever we wanted. This excursion has the advantage of taking you to the port, providing you with the ferry ticket and bike, and then bringing you back to your hotel. If you'd like a guide for the day, then this excursion isn't for you.

Excellent excursion! The driver for the transfer was very punctual and careful! The welcome at the dock was quick and pleasant. The French and English-speaking guide was friendly, smiling, and engaging. The meal was good quality and served in a beautiful setting. A top-notch and informative excursion.

Luckily, we were the only two guests going to La Digue that day, so we traveled by private speedboat. The timing was completely flexible — they asked us when we wanted to come back and picked us up right on time.

Reviews: Anse Marron tour on La Digue
Guest User2026-04-16
We had a fantastic day with Gérard! It was a feast for the eyes and the taste buds! Anse Marron is, in my opinion, the most beautiful beach in the Seychelles! A word of warning about the hike: it's definitely not easy. We went through some very rocky and steep sections, and we finished by walking along the coastline back to Anse Source d'Argent, with the water up to our shoulders at times. You really need to be in good physical condition and have good balance to attempt this hike (it's not a family stroll). So be sure to bring plenty of water (2 liters per person is ideal). At lunchtime, Gérard had prepared a lovely basket of fresh, handmade fruit for us – it was delicious! He shared his knowledge of the island and its history with us throughout the day; it was fantastic! 👌 A huge thank you to him for these memories that will be forever etched in our minds and hearts!

This tour deffently is not for older peaple, specially if not in good condition. The guide was fantastic and thanks to him we finished this tour. The nature is very nice, walking but climbing over the stones and going under the rocks was little hard for us, we are over 60s. In any case very kind guides, the light lunch served was good and Nature pool on Anse Maron is beautiful.. I am very glad to be on this tour and sugest to every young people to go. Only it must be notice that big and fat people can not go becouse of very nerrow part in rocks.
