I saw many online reviews, so I decided to try this one. I was torn between choosing a kimono shop and noting that I didn't know which one to go with. When I arrived in the morning, the staff clearly explained how to choose a kimono. The stylist was meticulous, and the makeup and hair were perfectly coordinated. If you have trouble making decisions, you should definitely choose this one. But remember to allow plenty of time, because good things are worth the wait. Give the stylists enough time to carefully coordinate your outfit and do your makeup. It gets a lot of attention on the streets of Kyoto, which tells you you made the right choice. Highly recommended!★

Hands on sharpening class was fantastic. I’ve had mixed luck trying to sharpen on my own based on YouTube videos. The Japanese instructor and English translator were both great in conveying simple instructions and providing corrections and feedback. Getting to feel the proper technique and having the instructor double check and confirm progress gives me confidence that I finally understand and can replicate the sharpening on my own. They also have lots of beautiful knives, but it is nice that there is absolutely no sales pressure. Many express their satisfaction with doing upgrades for their knives, but the standard knife choices are very good and their inclusion makes the class a great deal.★

Really good value but it took over 1 hour even though we had an appointment early in the morning. Lots of waiting in-between picking the clothes, dressing and hairstyle.★
