Caldas de Outariz (Hot Springs)
Located outside the city of Ourense in Galicia, Spain, Caldas de Outariz (Hot Springs) is a relaxing retreat that combines natural hot springs with modern facilities. It features two themed hot spring circuits: the Zen Circuit and the Celtic Circuit. The Zen Circuit, inspired by Japanese onsen culture, features tranquil pools with wood and pebble accents, perfect for relaxation and meditation. The Celtic Circuit, inspired by ancient Celtic civilization, features stone structures, jets, bubbles, and waterfalls, perfect for relieving muscle tension and fatigue. Catedral de Ourense
The main temple of Ourense dates back to the second half of the 12th century and the first half of the 13th, and some authors place this construction on the remains of the primitive basilica from the Suebi period, an old cathedral already dedicated to the memory of Saint Martin of Tours. The history of the Cathedral is intertwined with the socio-economic circumstances arising from the repopulation carried out by Alfonso III around the year 900. Its High Altar was finally consecrated in 1180, and during the 14th and 15th centuries its architecture was completed, with the significant lantern tower being raised between 1499 and 1505. Built on a Latin cross floor plan, it features three naves separated by cruciform pillars, double and pointed arches, imbued with a transitional Romanesque style leaning towards Gothic, with later Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical elements.
