One of the world's well-known slot canyons and a famous photography spot, it is located in the northern part of Arizona, United States. The nearby city is Page, which belongs to the Navajo Reserve. Antelope Canyon is topographically divided into two parts, called Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon. There is no artificial lighting in the Lower Antelope Canyon. All visible light comes from the cracks at the top of the canyon. These rays are repeatedly refracted by the rock texture and enter the bottom of the canyon, producing fantastic and irregular color changes. From shallow to deep, colorful and beautiful.LeChee · 5.2 km from downtown

Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon National Park is located in the northwestern part of Arizona, USA. It is a massive canyon carved by the Colorado River over millions of years on the Colorado Plateau: the canyon stretches over 400 km, with a vertical drop from the rim to the bottom of nearly two km. The exposed layers of red, orange, and yellow rock on the cliffs resemble an open book of geological history, with the oldest rocks at the bottom dating back approx. 1.8 billion years. The park is divided into two main visiting areas—the South Rim and the North Rim—which face each other across the canyon but require several hrs of driving to travel between them. • Two parks in one: South rim and north rim • The red and yellow rock layers give the Grand Canyon its majestic and extraordinary appearance. The north rim is less developed with far fewer travelers than the south rim, making it more popular among backpackers and camping enthusiasts who prefer tranquility. However, it has higher elevation and is often closed due to heavy snow in winter, typically only open from mid-may to mid-october. Winter travel is mostly limited to the south rim. Additionally, the popular "west rim skywalk" in the travel market is located in the hualapai indian reservation outside the park and is not the same as this area. Be sure to check the itinerary details before booking to avoid going to the wrong place. △ Open year-round, with approx. 90% traveler capacity. It is highly recommended to visit in spring, summer and fall. △ The northern edge of the park has a smaller developed area, accommodating approx. 10% of travelers. It is seasonally open from May 15 to October 15. Compared to other areas, it is more suitable for stay and camping, making it highly popular among adventure backpackers.Coconino County · >100 km from downtown

Upper Antelope Canyon

Antelope canyon is a classic slot canyon, divided into two parts geographically, among which Upper Antelope Canyon is more popular with travelers and a hot spot for photography enthusiasts. To enter Upper Antelope Canyon, you must join an official group tour. The tours are divided into regular tours and photography tours. Photography tours allow you to bring professional equipment like tripods. In addition to the attraction guide, the tour will also point out suitable photo spots. From mid-to-late March to early October on sunny days, around noon, sunlight shines directly from the narrow gap above into the canyon floor. Against the backdrop of suspended dust, the light forms distinct beams. The guide will also toss fine sand to make the beams more visible. However, only photography tours departing around noon have a chance to capture these light beams. That said, the main factor affecting the light effect is the weather. Ideal conditions are clear, haze-free days with good air transparency. Even on sunny days, slight cloud cover or poor air transparency may prevent the light beams from being visible.Coconino County · >100 km from downtown

•Natural Wonder: It is known for its stunning slot canyons formed by years of erosion from flash floods. •Light and Shadows: One of the most captivating features of Antelope Canyon is the interplay of light and shadows. •Navajo Guided Tours: Navajo guides provide guide insights into the history, geology, and cultural significance of the canyon. △Upper Antelope Canyon: It is the most popular and frequently visited section of Antelope Canyon. It is known for its iconic light beams that shine through the narrow sandstone walls, creating a stunning visual effect. The upper canyon is relatively flat and easier to navigate, making it more accessible for visitors. △Lower Antelope Canyon: It is less crowded compared to the upper canyon and offers a more adventurous experience. The lower canyon is deeper and narrower, requiring visitors to climb ladders and navigate through narrow passages. It is famous for its unique rock formations and vibrant colors. △Antelope Canyon X: Antelope Canyon X is a less well-known section of the Antelope Canyon. It offers a similar experience to the upper canyon, with beautiful light beams and sandstone formations. However, it is less crowded and provides a more intimate and serene atmosphere for visitors.Coconino County · >100 km from downtown

U.S. Route 66

U.S. Route 66, also known as the Will Rogers Highway or Main Street of America, was one of the original highways in the U.S. Highway System, established in 1926. The highway stretches from Chicago to Santa Monica State Beach in Los Angeles, crossing eight states: Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, covering a total length of approximately 2,400 miles. With the development of the Interstate Highway System, the road was officially decommissioned in 1985, and some sections have since been designated as National Scenic Byways. The scenery along the route is a defining feature of this highway. From the farmlands of Illinois to the hills of Missouri, from the plains of Oklahoma to the red deserts of Arizona, and finally to the Pacific coast of California, the road connects a multitude of small towns, motels, neon signs, and roadside diners that retain their mid-20th-century appearance. Many sections still feature original gas stations and unique shops. U.S. Route 66 has had a profound influence on American pop culture. John Steinbeck used the road as the backdrop for the westward migration in The Grapes of Wrath, earning it the nickname "The Mother Road." The Pixar animated film Cars also uses this highway as its setting.Custer County · 27.4 km from downtown

Horseshoe Bendis a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River in Arizona, part of Glen Canyon. During ancient times, the Colorado Plateau uplifted, and the old river channel was locked in place, continuously cutting downward and winding around a massive rock to form a nearly 270-degree sharp bend. It is named for its horseshoe shape and is also often called the big bend of the Colorado River. The cliff top at the viewpoint is nearly 300 m above the river surface. Standing at the edge and looking down, the orange-red sandstone cliffs converge in layers, and the river at the bottom of the valley looks like a bright green ribbon swirling along the foot of the cliff. Around noon on sunny days, sunlight can shine directly onto the bottom of the bend. The fully illuminated river water exhibits a gradient of blue and green, and the entire bend lights up, making it a great time for photography. One side of the viewing platform has a railing, while the rest of the cliff edge has no barriers.Page · 4.6 km from downtown

Lower Antelope Canyon is definitely worth a visit. We were lucky to have a great guide, Joanna from Ken's Tour. Hope I spelled her name correctly. Here's a picture of her. She was very efficient in teaching us how to adjust our camera settings and helped us take photos. For the last photo, she asked everyone what language they spoke and said "seahorse" in Chinese. Joanna took all the particularly good, wallpaper-worthy photos and also offered to take group photos for everyone. A good guide makes this trip even more perfect.

Upper Antelope Canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder famous for its smooth sandstone walls, flowing curves, and mesmerizing patterns shaped by wind and water over thousands of years. As sunlight filters through the narrow canyon, the walls glow with beautiful shades of orange, red, and gold, creating an almost magical atmosphere. Every turn reveals a new shape and perspective, making it an incredible destination for photography and exploration. The peaceful yet dramatic scenery feels completely different from ordinary landscapes. If you love unique natural formations, stunning colors, and unforgettable travel experiences, Upper Antelope Canyon is truly a remarkable place to discover and definitely worth visiting.

Perhaps the service there is always like that, because I didn't really enjoy any service. It was too hot and there wasn't a place to rest. I even swallowed some sand, and there was no water to wash it off. But the scenery was truly beautiful. I think going once is worthwhile, but not going at all wouldn't be a regret. No videos were allowed, so I only have pictures.

Route 66 is an old, worn-out asphalt road, cracked in some sections with weeds sprouting from the gaps. Occasionally, an abandoned gas station stands by the roadside, its sign rusted but still standing, its pump covered in dust. Driving into a small town, the neon lights outside old restaurants don't work during the day, and old photos and broken guitars are displayed in the windows. Next to it, an old Chevrolet, rusted to its frame, sits there like a sculpture. There's hardly anyone around; the wind whistles through the road signs, creating a desolate atmosphere.

This place is not far from the Grand Canyon. We passed by here on the way to Phoenix and stopped by to take a look. There is a very large meteorite crater with a popular science documentary inside. It is quite good to bring children to visit. In fact, quite a lot of foreign tourists bring their children here.

Very good scenery, not many people, there are parking lots, toilets, and watchtowers. It takes some time to queue up for the watchtower. It's free to climb the tower. Next to the RV parking lot, you can walk to the edge of the cliff. The angle of this dead branch is very ideal. There are also many cactus flowers 🌵, various colors, yellow, red, pink, very beautiful
