This is a night market in Chiang Rai. Compared with Chiang Mai, the Chiang Rai night market is much smaller in scale, but it is full of internal organs. This small night market is one of the best places to hang out in Chiang Rai after dark. There are a variety of handicrafts and souvenirs from the lowland hill tribes of Thailand, such as wood carvings, marble carvings, paintings, etc., as well as small items such as pirated DVDs and T-shirts. In addition to a wide variety of goods, there are singing and dancing performances with local characteristics for you to relax and enjoy. Of course, you must not miss the delicious fried food, barbecue and various brands of beer here when visiting Chiang Rai Night Market. Chiang Rai Night Market has a large food court full of northern Thai food and snacks. It is also a pleasure to find a seat in the food court and watch the performance while dining.Chiang Rai · 387m from downtown

During the day, the clock tower, all made of gold, shines with dazzling brilliance under the sunlight; at night, the projection lights illuminate the tower from bottom to top, presenting a quiet and solemn atmosphere. Every night from 7 to 9 o'clock on the hour, there will be a sound and light show here. With the music background of "Song of Chiang Rai", the clock tower will change into different colors with the lights.Chiang Rai · 2m from downtown

Temple of the Emerald Buddha, named after the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is a gorgeous and exquisite temple and one of the famous royal temples. Legend has it that in 1434, a lightning strike struck a stupa in the temple, which collapsed to reveal the Jade Buddha hidden inside. Later, the Emerald Buddha was transported to Bangkok and enshrined in the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok, which is also named Temple of the Emerald Buddha. There is a big Buddha carved from jade in the hall, which was raised by the believers later. It is 65 meters high. The body of the Buddha is translucent emerald green, surrounded by gold, and it looks brilliant and shining. PhraChaoLanThong The temple also houses a 700-year-old PhraChaoLanThong cast by Indian Bala art. It is 3.8 meters high and 2 meters wide. It was built by the Thai royal family to celebrate the birthday of the Queen Mother. It adopts the original Jade Buddha style. Out of this world. It seems straight out of the fantasy world- sparkling white and silver, beautiful temple shining in all its glory. One of the most popular attractions in this region, it is visited by people from near and far. Avoid afternoon as it can get very hot.

Wat Huai Plakang is located in Rim Kok Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province. It is a beautiful temple located on a hill and surrounded by hills. You can see beautiful scenery. The highlight of this temple is “Phop Chok Tham Chedi”, which is a 9-storey chedi with an unusual pointed shape. It is a mixture of Chinese and Lanna art. The red roof has dragon statues on both sides of the stairs. It is surrounded by small chedis representing the 12 zodiac signs. Wat Huai Plakang is a temple that the locals respect and believe that anyone who visits it will feel like they have ascended to heaven. Inside the chedi, there are Buddha images and various arhats. Inside the chedi, there is a large statue of Guan Yin carved from fragrant sandalwood.

I came at a time when the monks were doing their evening work, so I couldn't go into the church. But the temple is very beautiful, cool, and peaceful. Even the Emerald Buddha, when viewed from a distance, is very beautiful.

The largest and most popular Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai, built in the 14th century, is the highest-ranking temple in Chiang Mai along with Wat Chedi Luang. The temple is decorated with golden splendours and houses a Buddha statue of Phra Singh. The murals in the hall feature ancient local costumes and customs and are considered to be representative works of traditional art in northern Thailand. There are also meditation courses for foreign tourists in the temple, where you can sit quietly in the temple and feel the tranquility. During the Songkran Festival in April every year, this is one of the main places to celebrate the festival in Chiang Mai.
