It's definitely worth a visit. The cable car ride up and down the mountain is very pleasant. I recommend taking the cable car up; this open-air chairlift is quite unique, soaring through the pine forest and offering ever-changing views. Reaching the summit viewing platform offers the best panoramic view of Chengde: the Wulie River meanders, the forests of the Mountain Resort and the golden roof of the Putuo Temple unfold before your eyes, with distant mountains layered upon each other, providing a wide and expansive vista. Nearby, there's also a lifelike toad-shaped rock, and hidden in the mountains are the Baoshan Temple cliff carvings, rich in cultural details.
