36 reviews
Mount Coot-Tha Summit Lookout is located at the summit of Mount Coot-Tha, west of the Brisbane city center, at an elevation of over 200 m, and is a classic spot for overlooking the city. The name "Mount Coot-Tha" originates from the local Indigenous language and means "place of honey." In the early years, it was also called "One Tree Hill" because of a single tree left standing at the summit. Since it was designated as a public recreation area in the late 19th century, it has been a popular spot for Brisbane residents to relax and enjoy the view. The lookout offers expansive views, with the winding Brisbane River flowing through the city, and the city center skyline and Story Bridge in full view. On clear days, the view extends all the way to Moreton Bay, where islands such as Stradbroke Island are clearly visible. The evening is a particularly charming time here, as the sunset glow illuminates the city and the bay, and after dark, the lights of the high-rises gradually turn on, making it a romantic moment to enjoy the night view of Brisbane. The summit features a café and a souvenir shop, where you can take a break after sightseeing. A mountain road leads directly to the summit, where the distinctive Brisbane radio and television transmission towers are located. If you have enough time, the Brisbane Botanic Gardens and the planetarium at the foot of the mountain are also worth a visit.Mount Coot-Tha · 2.8 km from downtown

South Bank Parklands is located on the south bank of the Brisbane River, facing the city center across the river. It is a linear waterfront park stretching along the river, converted from the site of the 1988 World Expo. A major highlight here is that a beach has been brought directly into the city center. Streets Beach features an artificial beach and swimming pool. The white sand, blue water, and the skyline formed by office buildings on the opposite bank create a unique view, which is quite rare in an Australian city center. You can swim here when the weather is warm. The Grand Arbour in the park stretches for approx. 1 km, with steel frames covered in purple bougainvillea. It is a highly popular photo spot. The Rainforest Walk is hidden in the bustling city, lined with lush greenery. The Nepal Peace Pagoda is an original wooden pavilion left over from the World Expo. Its three-story structure was transported in its entirety from Nepal and is worth a special visit. Public barbecue grills are available on the lawns, and many locals bring ingredients for picnics. On weekends, Stanley Street Plaza often hosts markets, and you might encounter street performances at any time. The Wheel of Brisbane stands in the park, offering a bird's-eye view of the river and the city skyline. The riverside path is suitable for walking or cycling, and you can also take a water bus or cruise to enjoy the scenery on both banks from the river.South Brisbane · 432m from downtown

Taking a ride on the Ferris wheel, you can enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city over the Brisbane River. The Ferris wheel rotates 5 times each time, which lasts about 15-20 minutes. Brisbane City Hall
No. 7 of Night Attractions in Queensland

Brisbane City Hall

5.1
4.4/5
204 reviews
Brisbane City Hall is the seat of the Brisbane City Council and one of the city's most recognizable historic buildings. It was designed in the Italian Renaissance style, with the central circular auditorium inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, and the towering clock tower modeled after St Mark's Campanile in Venice, featuring sandstone walls from local quarries atop a granite base. Because it cost nearly one million pounds to build at the time, it has long been known as the Million Pound Town Hall. Climbing the tower is a signature experience here: start at the Museum of Brisbane on the third floor, take the vintage elevator up to the observation deck above the clock face, and enjoy a bird's-eye view of King George Square in front, the grid-like streets extending outwards, and the Brisbane River flowing through the city. The clock in the tower chimes the Westminster Quarters every 15 minutes, and can be heard clearly even on the nearby Queen Street Mall. Back inside, it is worth taking a close look at the marble staircase, mosaic floors, and chandeliers in the foyer, as well as the circular auditorium with its copper dome. The light show under the dome and the century-old pipe organ with thousands of pipes are both worth stopping to admire. King George Square in front is spacious and lively, hosting performances, markets, and festivals year-round, making it a perfect place to stroll after visiting the City Hall.Brisbane · 260m from downtown

Koalas are very cute, and you can take photos with them for an extra 35 AUD. However, you can't hold them. Kangaroos are very quiet and you can approach and pet them. The sheepdogs' herding show is quite good.

My biggest takeaway from this trip to the Australia Zoo is: arrive early, or you'll definitely miss the 1:30 pm crocodile show! The Crocoseum area is very crowded, so it's best to arrive at least half an hour early to secure a good spot. The crocodile show is spectacular, and the zookeepers' explanations are excellent. Seeing the crocodiles up close is incredibly impressive; missing it would be a real shame. The kangaroo experience is also a big plus. You can walk into the kangaroo enclosure, get up close to the kangaroos, squat down to gently feed them, and take photos. They are mostly very docile. However, please follow the park rules: don't chase or try to hold them.

Climbing the Story Bridge is a unique memory for children in Brisbane. Traveling is a great way to broaden children's horizons. During the journey, children can develop self-care skills, the ability to respond in emergencies, and the ability to empathize with fellow travelers.

Fangchenggang's Sunshine Coast is located next to Beibu Gulf Avenue. It is almost entirely filled with high-rise buildings. From the higher floors you can see the beautiful sea view opposite. In the evening, there are many people doing fitness and leisure sports along the beach. I like it very much.

In fact, the most beautiful scenery is the Ferris wheel itself. The Ferris wheel is very eye-catching at night, especially the huge three-dimensional letters "BRISBANE" under the Ferris wheel. It is really a popular photo spot. It is recommended not to go there during the day because almost every letter is covered with people 😂. There are fewer people at night. 💡tips ▪️It is strongly recommended to buy tickets online, otherwise it is nearly half the price if you buy on site, and the tickets are issued quickly and exchanged very conveniently.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I've been living in Brisbane for 9 years, and I only visited the Queensland Museum yesterday for the first time! I can't believe I waited this long. Such an amazing place with so much to see, learn, and explore. The exhibits were fascinating, and I really enjoyed the whole experience. I honestly wish I had visited much sooner! Definitely a must-visit place in Brisbane. Highly recommended for all ages!
