most people skip Belize city entirely. Belize city is usually a transit stop where you jump on the ferry to caye caulker or San Pedro, or in the other direction jump on a bus to San ignacio/flores. but if you were like me there’s some lay time before transit the north side of the bridge in Belize city is safe to walk during day time. fort George district covers the lighthouse the Belize signage and the Belize museum. it’s not aesthetically pleasing buildings were very ran down and homeless people abound (including quite a few hunkering down right by the lighthouse) but they don’t seem to bugger tourists. walking fort George and together with Belize city museum probably shd take u less than an hour. may as well if you have time
