Atlantic Sea-Park
Atlantic Sea-ParkBuilt on the coastal cliffs along the Atlantic, this is a distinctive cold-water marine aquarium in Northern Europe. The overall design of the venue conforms to the coastal landscape, with the architecture cleverly integrated into the rugged seaside scenery, allowing visitors to enjoy views of the open Atlantic Ocean and scattered islands throughout their visit. The park's exhibits focus on the ecology of the cold North Atlantic waters. Unlike typical tropical aquariums, it fully recreates the natural underwater environment of the Norway coast and near-shore fjords. The core exhibit is a massive Atlantic seawater tank with a significant water capacity, where native fish such as cod, halibut, rays, and lumpfish swim freely. The venue also features sections such as a kelp forest exhibit, an intertidal zone exhibit, and a deep-fjord exhibit, displaying various crustaceans and near-shore fish. Aksla Viewpoint
Aklas Observation Deck is located on Aksla Mountain in the center of Alesund, Norway. It is a viewing point overlooking this Art Nouveau coastal city. The observation deck can be climbed to the top by stone steps from the city park. A small viewing platform extends every few dozen steps along the way, where you can take a break and enjoy the city and the fjord from different heights. The restaurant and cafe on the top of the mountain provide a place for tourists to rest. The terrace and parasols are in harmony with the surrounding natural landscape. The mountain where the observation deck is located was once a military fortress during World War II, and some historical traces are still retained today. Its humanized design is reflected in the details: the digital markings on the steps indicate the climbing progress in real time, and the diversion of the parking lot and the walking path on the top of the mountain takes into account the needs of different tourists. This is the place to check in when you come to Alesund. Standing here, you can overlook the whole picture of the small town of Alesund. If you go there in winter, it will be bleak at a glance. But there are also lively places, such as the cruising ships.

The aquarium has changed a lot after the renovation. It is modern, interesting and interactive. There are divers performing for sharks and cod, feeding seals, penguin performances and explanations, and an interactive corner for learning about salmon and ocean knowledge. It is a good place for parent-child activities near Alesund.
