Piscinas do Mondego

This is a great restaurant - the menu had many options and there were several that tempted us. Zeroed in on the Veal Chop - a delight - with grilled potatoes, pineapple, and vegetables. Had a Salade Nicoise to start/share - delicious. Asked Pedro the waiter for a recommendation on wine - he came back with a great bottle of local wine! Pedro was very attentive to our needs. Loved the experience. It would have been great to have more light around the area when we left, but we quickly found our bearings; BTW, easy to park a car there, so driving there is a great option.

A great lunch with first class service. The cataplana was very tasty. It's an interesting destination and in an ideal place for a picturesque walk after the meal.

A friend and I came to Coimbra for a show and decided to have lunch at this restaurant. The space is beautiful, surrounded by nature, with a very peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. We felt very welcomed. The service was impeccable — the lady who served us was very friendly and attentive. We opted for the lunch menu, which included starter, soup, main course, drink and coffee. Excellent value for money. The octopus salad was super fresh and well seasoned, the breads were great, the soup was delicious and had a homemade flavor. The main course was empty with fried egg, potatoes and salad. The meat was a little tough, but everything else was great, especially the salad and the potatoes Ana. We loved the experience. 5 stars!
