Chez Tonton Guy is an excellent restaurant and offers a great overall dining experience.  The one bit of critique would be the lighting intensity. They can offer a cozier experience by dimming their lights by 50%.  Less light intensity = cozy.

The food is ok. Waiters are not customer friendly. There is not a lot of restaurants in Paimpol. So if you are no where to go, why not.

Very good classic cuisine overall and very generous portions, which is rare these days!!
The fisherman&#39;s plate is very attractive and the seafood sauerkraut is very good.
One small drawback: the selection of white wine by the glass is too limited...

We had enjoyed our first dinner in December 2023. We came back this long weekend.
Still as satisfied as the first time.

un coin tr&egrave;s sympa. une &eacute;quipe particuli&egrave;rement agr&eacute;able proche de ses clients. La preuve tr&egrave;s gentille intention le plaid chaud et tout doux. Repas copieux excellent. Du bon vin. Prix corrects qualit&eacute;s prix. Tout y est. a very nice place. a particularly pleasant team close to its customers. The very kind intention proof the warm and soft plaid. Excellent hearty meal. Good wine. Correct prices quality price. Everything is there. Small note of humor for the bartender 🤣 &quot;white tea hibiscus lychee&quot; to be avoided absolutely 👍 Travelers from 44.

I have not enjoyed a meal so much for a long time.  There was imagination, adventure and respect for quality ingredients in the 98 euro menu, with at least three stand-out courses.  One, the St Pierre (John Dory) was exceptional and reminded me of visits to Gordon Ramsey in his prime.  If a couple of dishes worked slightly less well - the chapon, in particular - it did not detract from the overall experience.  Service was superb throughout.  My wine choice was a joy and all credit to La Serre for being early adopters of Gigondas blanc.  We genuinely can&rsquo;t wait to go back next year to try this example of French restaurant skills at their (almost) finest.  Walking distance of the town centre too&hellip;

We had the Menu Pempoull and really enjoyed it. The mackerel starter was weakest part but a good job was made of an ordinary fish. The quail main course and the dessert were both sublime. We had the menu Aodou an Arvor previously as while it was also very good the food we got from the Pempoull menu was really top class and amongst the best meals we ever got in Paimpol or anywhere else for that matter.
