Preparations ● Documents: ID card, student ID (don't forget if you get a discount). ● Clothing: Dongjiang Lake has a large temperature difference between day and night. Even in summer, a light jacket is recommended. In spring and autumn, bring a thicker coat, and in winter, a down jacket or other warm clothing. ● Other Items: Sunscreen, sunglasses, umbrella or raincoat, camera (every shot of Dongjiang Lake is a masterpiece). Transportation Guide External Transportation ● By Air: You can fly to Chenzhou Beihu Airport first, then take the airport bus or a taxi to Dongjiang Lake. ● Train/High-Speed ​​Rail: Take the train to Chenzhou West Station. After exiting the station, there are direct tourist buses to Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area. Alternatively, you can take a taxi, which takes approximately 40-50 minutes. Scenic Area Transportation ● The scenic area has eco-friendly buses; the ticket includes the bus fare, which can be used for free between attractions. ● You can also choose to take a boat tour and enjoy the scenery along the way. Scenic Area Attractions Misty Xiaodongjiang River This is the most representative attraction of Dongjiang Lake and a must-see for visitors 🌟. From April to October each year, a thin layer of mist rises from the Xiaodongjiang River at dawn and dusk, creating a fairyland-like scene. Fishermen cast their nets on the river, and the combination of mist and water creates a stunning picture; every shot is a masterpiece! It's recommended to arrive early to secure a good spot for the best photos. Dongjiang Dam This is a double-curvature thin-shell arch dam designed, constructed, and managed independently by my country, ranking second among similar dams internationally. Standing on the dam, overlooking Dongjiang Lake, the shimmering blue waters are truly magnificent. Visitors can tour the top and bottom of the dam to learn about its construction history and water conservancy knowledge.
