I recently visited Zibo, Shandong, a popular destination over the past two years. I stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Zibo, part of Marriott International. I'd like to share my experience and the attractions I visited. 📍Hotel Location: - Although the Fairfield by Marriott is located in Zhangdian District, Zibo, the surrounding area appears to have been recently developed. The streets are wide, the office buildings are new, and some high-rise buildings are still under construction. - The hotel is about the same distance from either Zibo Station or Zibo North Station, and a taxi ride isn't far. There doesn't seem to be much public transportation around the hotel, and the nearest bus station is quite a distance away. 🏨Hotel Ambience: - Surrounded by office buildings and elevated highways, the hotel lacks a lively atmosphere and seems to have a more office-like feel. This hotel only opened in 2023, so the hardware is quite new. There's even a Zibo tourist attraction in the lobby (see attached photo). It's a true business hotel with a touch of tourism flair. [Grin] 🛏Room Facilities: - This time, I stayed in a Premium Twin Room, which is 34 square meters, the same size as a regular twin room, the only difference being the floor level. - The hotel's occupancy rate is quite high; all the king-size rooms were sold out on check-in day. - The room layout is standard Fairfield by Marriott, but the hardware is noticeably higher-end, much more refined than your average Fairfield. The bathroom, in particular, has an electric shower. The ceilings are also higher than your average Fairfield, providing more space. - The bedding was also excellent, with excellent support and comfortable linens, much better than many older five-star hotels. - The only downside was that the room's heater didn't seem to keep up with the autumn temperatures; the temperature was a bit low. 🍲Hotel Breakfast: - The hotel's breakfast area is on the third floor. The restaurant is quite large and has a nice atmosphere (see attached photo). It lasts until 10:30 AM. - The breakfast menu is quite good, in line with the hotel's positioning. The abundant fruit selection is a highlight. 🖼Nearby Attractions: - Zibo, Shandong. Originally an industrial city, it became a hit in the past two years thanks to its popular Zibo barbecue and is now developing into a tourist destination. - Haidailou. Haidailou Zhongshuge Whiskey Bar is a well-known attraction in Zibo. Zhongshuge has also been touted as "China's Most Beautiful Bookstore." Since we weren't there on a holiday, there weren't many tourists, but we did see a few tour groups checking in. - Badaju Convenience Market. It also benefited from the recent tourism boom and has become a popular online market. The entire street is lined with snacks, and the building at the entrance has become a popular tourist spot (see the last attached photo). [GlassesUU] Summary: Overall, my stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Zibo was quite positive. The hotel is well-equipped, clean, and the service was excellent. Although not located in the old city, transportation is convenient, making it a great choice for business or leisure travelers. #ZiboTravel #ZiboCheck-in #HaidailouZhongshuge #ZiboBadaju #ZiboHotel
