The bamboo fungus is crisp and tender, soaking up the incredibly flavorful chicken broth, while the black chicken meat is firm and tender. Dipping it in Guizhou's signature chili paste is absolutely amazing! I recommend drinking three bowls of soup first before adding vegetables, and soaking buckwheat rice in the broth is simply divine! 🥧Ma Ji Steamed Rice Cake 📍No. 21 Xinhua East Road (10-minute walk from Ji Hotel) A Zhijin intangible cultural heritage snack! The freshly steamed glutinous rice cakes are bouncy like marshmallows, with a subtle aroma of fermented rice wine. A double flavor (brown sugar/original) is only 5 yuan! The owner says they sell out by 3 PM every day, so be sure to go early! The All Seasons Hotel is conveniently located inside the Shuixiang No. 1 pedestrian street. It has a separate parking lot with plenty of spaces. The rooms are fully equipped with smart technology, including a heated toilet – perfect for winter. The bed is incredibly comfortable; I fell asleep instantly. Breakfast is a Chinese buffet; the congee was surprisingly made with Wuchang rice, and the wontons were freshly made and delicious. They also have freshly ground coffee and four kinds of fruit.
