If you ever tire of the hustle and bustle of the city, consider visiting the Xiaoqikong Bridge in Libo. Known as the "Emerald on the Earth's Belt," it's hidden deep in the mountains of Guizhou. Its lush green mountains and clear waters create a picturesque scene, akin to a fairyland. A must-see! It's also one of the top three scenic spots in Guizhou! The Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge, built in 1835 during the 15th year of the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, was once a major commercial and travel route from Qiannan to Guangxi, spanning the Xiangshui River. The serene blue waters beneath the bridge, flanked by verdant ancient trees, highlight the bridge's tranquil beauty. The bridge is 40 meters long, 2.2 meters wide, and 5.5 meters high, boasting an arched structure and exquisite craftsmanship. Two stone tablets originally stood at the bridgehead: one titled "Repair Stele," commemorating the bridge's construction, and the other, "Eternal Bridge Stele," inscribed with the couplet: "The mountains and rocks have endured for thousands of years, and the Xiangshui River Bridge has stood for eternity." The bridge, with its seven arches, is commonly known as the "Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge." The Xiaoqikong Scenic Area is named after this bridge. Yuanyang Lake is also a wonder of Xiaoqikong, its waters as emerald green and majestic as oil. It's named after two towering trees standing side by side in the lake, half submerged in the water, their branches intertwined above. The female tree is slender, while the male, so majestic that it would take two or three people to wrap their arms around it, stands tall and majestic.
